Skinstitute opened its doors in December 2020, at a time when many businesses were shutting down. The uncertainty of the pandemic made it a significant risk. The early days were slow, and building trust and visibility during such an uncertain time was a challenge. But from the beginning, Skinstitute was guided by a simple goal: to bring Peace of Mind to people even in the most difficult times.
Skinstitute was founded by Dr. Charlene Louise Palafox, a PDS board-certified dermatologist, alongside Dr. John Michael Porquez, an ENT Structural Rhinoplasty Specialist & Facial Aesthetic Surgeon and a fellow of FPSOHNS, PSCS, FACES & PAAS.
The clinic gradually grew through patient referrals and word of mouth. Patients appreciated the clinic's commitment to hands-on dermatologic care, honest treatment recommendations, and fair value for medical-grade procedures.
Today, Skinstitute is trusted by thousands of patients and continues to grow while staying true to the principles it was founded on: Peace of Mind through Expert Care, Honest Service and Intentional Treatment.
